Secures 11th win Springs (11-11) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings to earn the win over the Astros on Tuesday.
Impact Springs got an extra couple of days between starts this time and turned in a good performance to earn his first win since July 30 versus the Mariners. The southpaw had posted a 4.72 ERA over 40 innings during his eight-start winless stretch. He's at a 4.11 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 138:54 K:BB across 171 innings through 32 appearances (30 starts) this season. Given his recent additional rest, it's not guaranteed Springs will get another start in 2025 -- he's already 35.2 innings above his previous career high from 2022.

Bumped from Sunday's start Springs will not start Sunday's game against the Pirates, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Impact Springs was never confirmed as Sunday's starter, but he did line up to take the mound on regular rest. It's unclear if he's being shutdown, or if he's just being pushed back for extra rest. Mitch Spence will take on the Pirates in his place.

Allows unearned run Tuesday Springs allowed one run (zero earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings. He did not factor into the decision.
Impact Springs was able to pitch himself out of traffic in both the first and second frames, however, the Red Sox were able to scratch a run across in the third thanks to a fielding error by Lawrence Butler. Springs tossed 68 pitches, which was the first time he's thrown under 70 pitches since May 1. Tuesday was also the third time in his last seven starts he's failed to reach five innings. He'll look to have a better outing this weekend when the team travels to face the Pirates in what lines up to be a much better matchup for the left-hander.
