Moves off 40-man roster The Marlins outrighted Fishman to Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Impact Fishman has now been pushed off the Marlins' 40-man roster three times since initially being called up from the minors in late July to make his MLB debut. The 27-year-old lefty made seven relief appearances during his first season in the majors, logging a 4.09 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 6:0 K:BB across 11 innings.

Impact Fishman's first stint in the big leagues lasted just three days before he was designated for assignment last Monday. He made one appearance out of the Miami bullpen during his time with the big club, covering 3.1 innings and giving up an earned run on four hits.

If Fishman goes through waivers unclaimed, he could either remain with the Marlins or decide to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Joins active roster Fishman's contract was selected by the Marlins on Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Impact Fishman has spent the last two seasons at Triple-A Jacksonville, and he was successful out of the bullpen over the first half of the 2022 season. He posted a 1.87 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 43.1 innings over 25 relief appearances and will be rewarded with his first big-league call-up. However, the southpaw should serve mainly as a low-leverage reliever who can pitch multiple innings if needed.
