Returns from IL Pacheco (hand) has gone 5-for-14 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run in three games for High-A West Michigan since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Impact Pacheco underwent surgery June 11 to address a hamate excision in his right hand and proceeded to miss two months while recovering from the procedure. Before rejoining West Michigan, the 21-year-old infielder completed a 13-game rehab assignment between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A Lakeland.

Impact Pacheco suffered the injury while batting in West Michigan's June 6 game against South Bend and was placed on the 7-day IL a day later. The No. 39 overall pick in the 2021 First-Year Player Draft, Pacheco had gotten off to a poor start to the 2024 season before suffering the injury, slashing just .198/.263/.316 with four home runs in 194 plate appearances. After getting moved to the 60-day IL, Pacheco won't be eligible to return to the West Michigan lineup until early August.
