INJURIES

Labors in no-decision Rodriguez did not factor into the decision in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Royals, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts over four innings.
Impact Rodriguez allowed runs in the second and third innings, throwing just 53 of 89 pitches for strikes with 12 whiffs. Despite exceeding 80 pitches for the sixth straight start, it marked the fourth time he lasted just four innings in seven outings since returning from the injured list July 10. The 26-year-old owns a 7.17 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 55:28 K:BB across 59 innings this season and lines up for a road matchup with the Astros next week.

Mixed results in loss Rodriguez (3-5) took the loss against the Marlins on Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits and four walks with eight strikeouts over four innings.
Impact Rodriguez allowed three runs in the first inning and struggled with his control, throwing just 47 of 83 pitches for strikes and issuing four walks. On the other hand, he generated an impressive 15 whiffs and tallied a season-high eight punchouts. It comes on the heels of consecutive two-run outings from the 26-year-old, who's been unable to register a win in five starts since the All-Star break. He'll take a 7.20 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 50:26 K across 55 innings this season into a home matchup with the Royals next weekend.

Revenge game wasted Tuesday Rodriguez (3-4) picked up the loss Tuesday as the Angels fell 3-1 to the Orioles, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out six.
Impact The right-hander put together his best performance of the season, firing 69 of 98 pitches for strikes as he delivered his first quality start in over two years -- which came in a Baltimore uniform -- but Rodriguez got little support from his new offense. He'll need a longer stretch of success to get back on the fantasy radar in most formats, but over his last two outings Rodriguez has given up four runs in 12 innings with a 12:3 K:BB. He lines up to make his next start on the road this weekend in Miami.

Takes no-decision Wednesday Rodriguez allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Wednesday.
Impact Rodriguez put together his best outing of the month, but he still allowed multiple home runs, giving up solo shots to Yainer Diaz and Jeremy Pena. He left in line for the win, but the Angels' bullpen failed to protect the lead. Rodriguez remains an inconsistent performer this year -- he's allowed three runs or less in just five of his 10 starts. Overall, he has a 7.98 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 36:21 K:BB as well as nine homers allowed through 44 innings this season. He's projected to get a look at his former team, the Orioles, in a road start next week.

Tagged for two homers Rodriguez allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three over four innings in a no-decision Friday versus the Giants.
Impact Rodriguez fell short of the five-inning mark for the second start in a row and the fifth time in nine outings this season. Rafael Devers hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Casey Schmitt added a three-run blast in the third to account for all of the runs on Rodriguez's line. The struggling starter is now at an 8.54 ERA, 1.79 WHIP and 30:19 K:BB through 39 innings this season, though he has battled shoulder and back injuries. His next start is projected to be at home against the Astros.

Roughed up in defeat Rodriguez (3-3) took the loss against Detroit on Saturday, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three batters over four innings.
Impact Rodriguez had a daunting task facing off against Detroit ace Tarik Skubal, and a Tigers four-run first inning essentially put the game out of reach for the Angels. Rodriguez needed 87 pitches to get through four frames, and he's now finished fewer than five innings in four of his eight starts so far this season. The 26-year-old hurler has been very up-and-down when healthy enough to pitch, giving up three or fewer earned runs on four occasions and six-plus runs three times across those eight outings. The blow-ups have been more impactful to his overall line than the decent appearances, as altogether Rodriguez has a troubling 8.23 ERA and 1.77 WHIP across 35 innings.

Earns win in return from IL Rodriguez (3-2) earned the win over the Twins on Friday, allowing three earned runs on six hits and a walk across 5.1 innings. He did not record a strikeout.
Impact Rodriguez began the game by allowing a leadoff double to Trevor Larnach, who eventually came around to score and give Minnesota an early lead. Rodriguez responded by firing four consecutive scoreless frames while the Angels' offense churned out four runs, but he was pulled after allowing three consecutive hits and two runs in the sixth. Although he fell two outs shy of recording his first quality start of the season, the 26-year-old righty pitched well enough to get the win and will carry some positive momentum into the All-Star break despite owning an unsightly 7.55 ERA for the season.

Reinstated ahead of Friday's start The Angels reinstated Rodriguez (back) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start against the Twins on Friday.
Impact Rodriguez is ready to make his first major-league start since June 14 following a one-month stint on the IL while recovering from lower-back tightness. The right-hander has been limited to six major-league starts this season due to two separate stints on the IL, and he has 2-2 record with an 8.06 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and 24:15 K:BB across 25.2 innings.
