Impact With southpaw Nick Lodolo toeing the rubber for the Reds, the left-handed-hitting McCray was initially excluded from the lineup, but he'll wind up starting Wednesday after Jung Hoo Lee (undisclosed) was a late scratch. After being recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, McCray started in right field in the first two games of the series and went 2-for-7 with a double and a triple between those contests.

Making jump to big leagues McCray was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of Monday's game against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Impact McCray will make his return to the big leagues after being demoted to Triple-A 10 days earlier. Jung Hoo Lee is serving as the designated hitter Monday and Victor Bericoto (knee) was placed on the 10-day IL, allowing McCray to draw the start in right field and bat eighth in the series opener.

Moving into bench role McCray is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Impact McCray had been seeing steady playing time against right-handed pitching since late July, but he looks like he'll be the odd man out of the lineup after the Giants welcomed Victor Bericoto back from the injured list Tuesday. For the second day in a row, McCray will be on the bench while the Giants will roll with a starting outfield of Bericoto, Drew Gilbert and Jung Hoo Lee from left to right.

It marked his first homer and just his second hit of the season, as the outfielder has played sparingly since being added to the active roster July 10.
