Optioned to Triple-A The Phillies optioned Rincones to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Impact Rincones is one of the roster casualties after the Phillies acquired three players at Monday's trade deadline. With Bryce Harper returning to right field, Rincones' playing time down the stretch would have been sparse. The 25-year-old slashed just .167/.202/.286 with a 2:29 BB:K in his first 29 games in the big leagues.

Impact Rincones will hit the bench for the second day in a row, with both absences coming against right-handed starting pitchers. Bryan De La Cruz will draw a second straight start in right field and could be moving ahead of Rincones on the depth chart.
