The 26-year-old southpaw owns a 9.90 ERA through 20 innings at Albuquerque, though he's surrendered just one earned run across his last six minor-league appearances. Jaden Hill was selected from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Promoted to majors The Rockies recalled Justice from Triple-A Albuquerque ahead of Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Orioles. He faced two batters in relief, striking out one and walking the other.

Impact Justice's brief relief appearance was his first in the big leagues in 2024, as he had been added to the 40-man roster last August but hadn't received a call-up from Triple-A this season after being optioned to the minors coming out of spring training. The lefty reliever submitted a 9.90 ERA, 2.50 WHIP and 21:29 K:BB in 20 innings at Albuquerque this season, but he had given up just one earned run in his last seven outings prior to getting called up.
