Impact Closer Clayton Beeter worked two innings for a hold Sunday against the Marlins, so he likely wasn't available for Monday's save opportunity. Tolman is making a case for more high-leverage work in Washington's much-maligned bullpen, firing 6.2 scoreless innings while posting a 0.75 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB to go with a save plus a hold apiece for the Nationals so far this season.

Joins big-league club The Nationals selected Tolman's contract from Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Impact Tolman will be looking to make his MLB debut with his next appearance. The 27-year-old left-hander was a 14th-round pick in 2021 and has posted a 5.23 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 42:23 K:BB across 31 innings with Rochester this season.
