Impact Cerantola, 26, has allowed six runs with a 7:10 K:BB over 5.1 frames at the big-league level this season. The righty reliever has been much better at the Triple-A level in 2026 with a 2.67 ERA and 43:16 K:BB across 30.1 frames, and he's headed to Triple-A Sacramento for now.

Impact Cerantola will rejoin the Royals in Texas after recording two appearances with Kansas City on May 6 and 7. With Triple-A Omaha, the 26-year-old posted a 1.37 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB. Nick Mears will be placed on the 15-day IL to make room for Cerantola on the active roster.

Impact Cerantola joined the Royals' 40-man roster over the winter and has tossed two scoreless frames during Cactus League play, but he never really had a shot to break camp with the big club. The righty reliever does figure to debut at some point in 2025 and could eventually be a late-inning option for Kansas City if he can throw enough strikes.
