ImpactGreene continued his excellent spring by tripling off Gerrit Cole, but that spring may have just come to a premature end after he limped off the field Friday with a team trainer. Greene has done everything he can to make the case for an Opening Day roster spot, something the Tigers seem open to, but even a fairly minor injury could give the team an excuse to keep him off the roster long enough to delay his free agency by a year.

ImpactPhelps signed a minor-league contract with Toronto in November which contained an opt-out, allowing him to hit the open market if he failed to make the Opening Day roster. He will indeed wind up making the team and stands a good chance of helping the Blue Jays, as he owns a 3.12 ERA since the start of the 2016 season.
