Called up, poised to start Saturday The Orioles recalled Reyes from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday, Zachary Silver of MLB.com. He's expected to start the second game of the team's doubleheader with the Red Sox.

Impact Baltimore also selected the contract of Triple-A rotation mate Cody Sedlock, so Reyes could have a short leash in his first MLB start if Sedlock goes unused in the first game of the twin bill and is available for the nightcap. Over his five outings at Norfolk this season, Reyes has produced a solid 28:5 K:BB across 24 innings, but he's posted a 6.38 ERA and 1.42 WHIP.

Optioned to Triple-A Reyes was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.

Impact Reyes made his major-league debut Friday against the Tigers and struck out two in two scoreless innings. However, he'll head back to the minors after Ryan McKenna was recalled by the Orioles on Saturday.

Contract selected by Baltimore Reyes' contract was selected by the Orioles on Thursday.

Impact Reyes has made three starts at Triple-A Norfolk this year and has posted an 8.25 ERA and 1.67 WHIP in 12 innings. The right-hander hasn't yet made his major-league debut but will be an additional relief option for the Orioles, particularly during Thursday's bullpen game against the Cardinals.
