Impact Martin will return to Triple-A after being recalled June 14. He appeared in two games while in the big leagues, surrendering three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three over 5.2 innings. The move was made in correspondence with Matt Foster's return from the bereavement list Wednesday. Martin will remain a top option for another call up moving forward.

Impact Since Chicago placed Liam Hendriks (forearm) on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move, Martin is eligible to rejoin the big club just two days after being optioned to Triple-A. The White Sox will need to break in a new starter for Wednesday's game in Detroit, and Martin could end up getting the nod if Vince Velasquez (groin) isn't activated from the 15-day injured list or is used out of the bullpen that day. Impact Vince Velasquez (groin) went on the injured list Friday, and Martin was called up from Triple-A Charlotte to make the start. Impact The right-hander made his major-league debut against the Royals on May 17, and he allowed a run on five hits and a walk while striking out seven in five innings to take the loss. Although he was sent down following the start, both Martin and Vince Velasquez are in the mix to take Keuchel's spot in the White Sox's rotation.
