The righty has struggled at Triple-A as well, so he doesn't figure to be a hot commodity on waivers and may find himself back in Lehigh Valley in a couple days.

Joins big-league bullpen Paulino's contract was selected by the Phillies on Thursday.

Impact Paulino owns a 5.48 ERA in 42.2 major-league innings, the last of which came back in 2018. He's been fine but hardly dominant in 51.2 frames for Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season, posting a 4.35 and a 25.2 percent strikeout rate. Nick Maton was optioned in a corresponding move.
