Joins Atlanta's roster Atlanta recalled Keirsey from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

Impact He's taking the roster spot vacated by the injured Lane Thomas (intercostal). Keirsey has slashed .247/.303/.346 with six home runs and 40 stolen bases this season with Gwinnett. The 29-year-old is unlikely to play much in a reserve outfielder role.

SEPTEMBER 11 • ROTOWIRE

Added to 40-man roster, optioned Atlanta selected Keirsey's contract Thursday and optioned him to Gwinnett.

Impact Keirsey had an opt-out in his minor-league contract, and Atlanta decided to add him to the 40-man roster in order to prevent him from leaving. He's slashed .260/.298/.384 with four home runs and 16 stolen bases in 49 games with Gwinnett this season.

JUNE 4 • ROTOWIRE

Misses out on Opening Day roster Atlanta reassigned Keirsey to minor-league camp Saturday.

Impact The defensive-minded outfielder was unable to secure a bench spot on Atlanta's Opening Day roster and appears set to begin the season at Triple-A Gwinnett. As a member of the Twins organization last season, Keirsey saw action in 74 games at the big-league level and slashed .107/.138/.179 with two home runs and 10 stolen bases over 88 plate appearances.

Latches on with Atlanta Keirsey signed a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Dec. 18.

Impact Keirsey has found a new home with Atlanta after being non-tendered by the Twins and electing free agency in November. The outfielder appeared in 74 matchups with Minnesota during the 2025 season, struggling to a .107 average with two home runs, six RBI, 10 stolen bases on 13 attempts and 11 runs scored.

Impact The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Alex Jackson, who was acquired via trade. Keirsey has managed just a .113/.149/.206 batting line across 102 plate appearances at the major-league level and will now go through the waivers process.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Keirsey was recalled this past weekend and saw only one plate appearance. He's clearing out to make room on the active roster for the return of Christian Vazquez (shoulder).

Summoned from St. Paul The Twins recalled Keirsey from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday.

Impact Keirsey will fill Matt Wallner's (oblique) spot on the active roster for the closing days of the regular season as Wallner heads to the injured list. In 85 big-league plate appearances this season, Keirsey is slashing .110/.141/.183, but he's posted a .771 OPS in 161 plate appearances at Triple-A. He'll have a chance to play occasionally in right field.

Relegated to St. Paul The Twins optioned Keirsey to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Impact Keirsey never registered a plate appearance during his four-day stint in the big leagues, though he did manage to steal a base and score a run as a pinch runner. Sporting a .324 OPS through 70 games in the majors this year, he'll return to Triple-A in favor of Jhonny Pereda, who was recalled from St. Paul in a corresponding move.

Twins score 4 runs in 1st inning, beat Guardians 5-4 to snap 4-game losing streak

Trevor Larnach had a two-run single in a four-run first inning and the Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Guardians 5-4 on Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep

AUGUST 3, 2025 • Associated Press

On bench Sunday Keirsey is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Impact Though he has a clearer path to making starts in the outfield in the short term after Minnesota moved Harrison Bader and Willi Castro prior to Thursday's trade deadline, Keirsey may still be in line for only a part-time role while Bryon Buxton (rib) is on the injured list. Minnesota recalled Austin Martin from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, and he and Keirsey appear likely to share time in center field until Buxton returns from the shelf. A strong defender who's capable of contributing on the basepaths (eight steals in 11 attempts), Keirsey doesn't profile as a big-league-caliber hitter after struggling to a .110/.141/.183 slash line in 85 plate appearances with the Twins this season.

JUNE 15, 2025 • SI.COM

Back in big leagues The Twins recalled Keirsey from Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday.

Impact Keirsey will join the Twins as a replacement on the 26-man active roster for third baseman Royce Lewis (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Lewis' move to the IL will likely result in super-utility player Willi Castro seeing more starts in the infield, but Keirsey isn't expected to benefit from more playing time in the outfield. As a left-handed hitter, Keirsey doesn't profile as a potential platoon option and could be deployed mainly as a pinch runner or late-inning defensive replacement. After winning a spot on the Twins' Opening Day roster, Keirsey slashed just .109/.136/.156 with one home run and five stolen bases across 66 plate appearances before he was optioned to St. Paul on May 31.
