Impact Julks saw 13 plate appearances over six games in the big leagues with the White Sox in 2025, but he was facing an uphill battle to securing a spot on a more talented Tigers roster heading into Opening Day. The 30-year-old outfielder acquitted himself well during the spring, posting a 1.165 OPS over 31 plate appearances. If he can continue mashing early on at Triple-A Toledo, Julks could merit more serious consideration for a return to the majors.

Impact Julks was a non-roster invitee to Detroit's camp, but he's making a decent case for himself so far. The veteran outfielder spent most of last season playing for Triple-A Charlotte in the White Sox organization, and he's just a career .234/.288/.337 hitter at the MLB level, so offensive regression could be coming soon. However, Julks will at the very least give the Tigers some organizational depth, and he could get a shot at the majors at some point down the road if a need arises.

Inks minors deal with Tigers The Tigers signed Julks to a minor-league contract Thursday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
