Sent to Triple-A Frazier was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, per the MLB Transactions Log.

Impact Frazier was moved to the minors to make room for the addition of Oscar Colas, whose promotion will be made official prior to Tuesday's action. Frazier was an obvious candidate to option after struggling to a .197/.303/.242 slash line with one double, three RBI, four stolen bases and 10 runs scored through 33 contests this season.

Impact It's the first steal for Frazier in his third game this year, matching his total from last season in 19 games with the Cubs. Impact As expected, Frazier was called up Sunday and he'll join the White Sox in Chicago. Inks minors deal Frazier signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox on Friday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Impact Frazier was released by the Rangers earlier this week after posting a .792 OPS with one home run in 15 games with Triple-A Round Rock. He'll report to Triple-A Charlotte where he'll hope to convince the White Sox he's worthy of a promotion. Frazier, 28, has a .756 OPS over parts of six seasons in the majors.

Impact Frazier didn't make the Opening Day roster after signing on as a non-roster invite in the winter, and the outfielder was slashing .250/.350/.442 with Triple-A Round Rock before his release. Frazier is now free to sign with another club, but the 28-year-old will all but assuredly be looking at another minor-league contract with whatever team he lands with.
