Impact It was something of a revenge game for veteran right-hander, as with the victory Bassitt helped eliminate his former club from playoff contention while keeping Baltimore's faint wild-card hopes alive. Bassitt has been on a roll to close out the 2026 regular season, winning five of his last six starts while posting a 3.63 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB over 34.2 innings.

Tuesday's game postponed Bassitt won't start as scheduled Tuesday against the Blue Jays since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

Impact The contest will be made up via a doubleheader Wednesday as the two teams conclude the season series in Baltimore. Bassitt will presumably start one of those contests in what should be his final appearance of the season. Since returning from back surgery in mid-August, the veteran right-hander has a 3.76 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 35:15 K:BB across 40.2 innings (seven starts).

Quality start in win Bassitt (8-5) earned the win against the Mets on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out six.

Impact Bassitt gave the Orioles great length in Wednesday's start, which the team needed after using eight pitchers in the extra innings outing the night before. The veteran right-hander tossed 95 pitches (61 strikes) to efficiently get through 6.2 innings and improve his record to 4-1 in his last five starts. Through those five starts, Bassitt has a 3.64 ERA with a 26:11 K:BB. The 37-year-old is scheduled to face his old team, the Blue Jays, next week.

Earns win in return to Toronto Bassitt (7-5) earned the win against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five across five innings.

Impact Friday was Bassitt's first start at Rogers Centre as a member of the Orioles, with the veteran right-hander having called Toronto his home from 2023 to 2025. He kept the Blue Jays off the board until a Kazuma Okamoto solo homer in the fourth, and Bassitt was tagged for another run after one of the two baserunners he allowed in the sixth came home. Bassitt has won three of his last four starts and allowed three runs or less in five of his six outings since being reinstated from the 15-day injured list Aug. 14. He'll take a 4.88 ERA and 1.59 WHIP over 90.1 innings into his next start, which is lined up for next week on the road against the Mets.

Falls short of quality start in loss Bassitt (6-5) took the loss against the Red Sox on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Impact Bassitt has provided the Orioles with steady length since coming off the injured list, tossing at least 5.1 innings in five consecutive starts. However, the veteran right-hander continues to let plenty of traffic get aboard, allowing at least seven baserunners each time out during that five-start stretch. He'll take a 4.96 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 61:33 K:BB over 85.1 innings into his next scheduled appearance versus Toronto.

Allows five runs in sixth win Bassitt (6-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks over 5.2 innings against the Athletics. He struck out four.

Impact Bassitt was jumped on early, allowing all five runs across the first three innings, but settled in enough to give the Orioles some length and pick up the win thanks to a strong offensive showing. In four starts since returning from the injured list, the veteran right-hander has posted a 4.24 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB across 23.1 innings. Bassitt will take a 4.97 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 55:29 K:BB across 79.2 innings (16 appearances) into his next start, tentatively scheduled for Friday against the Red Sox.

Earns fifth win Bassitt (5-4) earned the win Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing one run on six hits while striking out five over 6.2 innings.

Impact Bassitt's only blemish Tuesday came when Nathan Church led off the third inning with a solo homer, as he otherwise kept St. Louis off the board. The strong outing lowered the right-hander's ERA (4.74) below 5.00 for the first time this season. Bassitt has pitched well since returning from the injured list, allowing six runs across 17.2 innings with a 14:4 K:BB over three starts. He's scheduled to face the Athletics on the road in his next outing.
