Impact Narvaez started in five of the Orioles' previous six games, but he went 0-for-12 with a walk during that span to bring his season-long batting line down to .165/.241/.236 over 242 plate appearances. Though the Orioles will likely have Samuel Basallo split time at catcher and designated hitter down the stretch following his recent return from a shoulder injury, Narvaez is still expected to be headed for a reduction in playing time and may move into more of a part-time role behind the plate.
