Losing reps to Wong Narvaez is not in the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Orioles.

Impact It marks the third straight game that Narvaez has been on the bench in favor of Connor Wong. Narvaez should be back behind the dish for the nightcap.

Idle for second straight day Narvaez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Impact Connor Wong will draw a second straight start behind the dish while Narvaez remains on the bench for the series opener. Narvaez started twice in the Red Sox's four-game series versus the Rays over the weekend, going 3-for-6 with a home run, three RBI and an additional run.

Rare offense in win Narvaez went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored in a 10-0 victory over the Rays in the first game of Friday's doubleheader.

Impact Narvaez had a couple of run-scoring singles before putting the final touch on the win with a seventh-inning homer to make 10-0. The homer was his third of the season and first since April 28. It was rare offense from the catcher, who entered the contest with a .188 average and just six RBI over 53 games.
