Activated from Triple-A IL Lagrange (shoulder) was activated from the 7-day injured list by Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Impact Lagrange has been sidelined for more than two months as he works his way back from a right shoulder sprain. The hard-throwing righty was moved to the bullpen at SWB in early June and posted a 5.02 ERA and 20:8 K:BB over 14.1 innings in a relief role. Lagrange is not expected to be a candidate to pitch for the Yankees this season, but perhaps he could change minds if he looks good in the coming days at the team's top minor-league affiliate.

Expected back Tuesday Lagrange (shoulder) is on track to be activated from the 7-day injured list for Tuesday's game at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Impact Lagrange has been on the shelf since suffering a right shoulder sprain in early July. He began a throwing program July 28, and after pitching against live hitters Sept. 4, he's ready to take the bump Tuesday at Triple-A. The team has already communicated that the right-hander is unlikely to pitch in the big leagues this season, but it's still a positive development that he's ready to get back on the mound before the 2026 season comes to an end.

Impact It will be Lagrange's first time facing hitters since he was diagnosed with a right shoulder capsular sprain in early July. If live BP goes well, Lagrange will be activated from the 7-day injured list. While the 23-year-old appears to be making progress in his recovery, it's unlikely that there's enough time left in the campaign for him to work his way back into minor-league action and then to a big-league call-up. Cashman didn't completely shut the door on that scenario, however, saying that Lagrange pitching for the Yankees this season is "possible but unlikely."

Impact Lagrange was shut down for four weeks after being diagnosed earlier this month with a capsular sprain in his right shoulder, but he was cleared to play catch Tuesday. The hard-throwing righty will continue with a slow build-up process before eventually returning to games. Lagrange had been viewed as a likely contributor in the bullpen for the Yankees in the second half before getting hurt. It could still happen, but it's unlikely to occur before September, if at all.
