Goes on IL with elbow injury The Red Sox placed Booser on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with left elbow inflammation, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Impact Booser failed to retire any of the three batters he faced in Tuesday's win over the Rangers, but it appears his elbow might have been bothering him in the outing. It's not clear at this point how much time he might miss. Brennan Bernardino has replaced him in the bullpen.

Impact Booser was just sent down Wednesday but is back to take the roster spot of Brayan Bello, who went on paternity leave. The lefty reliever holds a 2.77 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 38 appearances with the Red Sox this season.
