Impact While recovering from Tommy John surgery, Wilson didn't make his 2023 debut until mid-June, when he began a rehab assignment at High-A Rome. Given the way he's performed through his first four outings with Mississippi, a return to Gwinnett could be in the offing.

Shifts to Triple-A's 60-day IL Triple-A Gwinnett transferred Wilson (elbow) from the 7-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Friday.

Impact Wilson has yet to pitch for the Triple-A club this season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, but he appeared on the cusp of debuting for Gwinnett after he began a rehab assignment in June. However, he made just two one-inning appearances for High-A Rome before being pulled off the appearance since his June 18 outing, and he hasn't pitched since. It's unclear if Wilson suffered a setback with his surgically repaired elbow or if he's dealing with a different injury concern.

Impact Wilson agreed to a new deal with Atlanta shortly after he was non-tendered following the 2022 season. Between stops at Double-A Mississippi and Triple-A Gwinnett in 2021, Wilson submitted a 2.34 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 84:19 K:BB in 50 innings to earn himself a spot on the 40-man roster, but he didn't pitch at all in 2022 after undergoing Tommy John surgery last spring. Given that he's less than a full year removed from the procedure, Wilson is unlikely to be available to pitch in Grapefruit League games and is expected to open the season on Gwinnett's injured list.
