Acuña returns to NL East-leading Braves after missing almost 7 weeks with left hamstring strain

The Atlanta Braves have activated outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. from the injured list after the 2023 National League MVP missed almost seven weeks with a left hamstring strain

Impact Hicklen has gone 7-for-19 during his limited chances with the big club, but he hasn't played much lately and his reps would have dipped further with Ronald Acuna coming off the injured list. The 30-year-old will report to Gwinnett, where he will see more regular playing time.

Impact Hicklen and Eli White had been sharing reps in right field coming out of the All-Star break, but Mike Yastrzemski has taken over primary duties at that position since being activated from the injured list Tuesday. Yastrzemski will eventually move to left field or designated hitter when Ronald Acuna (hamstring) returns from the IL, which could happen as soon as Monday.
