Impact Wisely was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett earlier in the day and he will receive the first opportunity to fill in at second base for the injured Ozzie Albies (hand). The 26-year-old Wisely sports a career .217/.263/.324 batting line over parts of three big-league seasons.

Impact Wisely was claimed off waivers from the Giants last week. He's absorbing the roster spot vacated by Ozzie Albies (hand) and could see some starts at second base in Albies' place down the stretch. Wisely is a career .217/.263/.324 hitter over parts of three big-league seasons.

Claimed by Atlanta Atlanta claimed Wisely off waivers from San Francisco on Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Impact Wisely lost his place on the Giants' 40-man roster following the promotion of Bryce Eldridge, but the former will reclaim a roster spot upon moving to Atlanta. He'll most likely remain in Triple-A for the remainder of the season after slashing .253/.332/.387 at Sacramento.

DFA'd by San Francisco The Giants designated Wisely for assignment Monday.

Impact The move makes room on the Giants' 40-man roster for Bryce Eldridge, who will make his major-league debut against the Diamondbacks on Monday. Wisely has spent most of the season in Triple-A, where he is slashing .253/.332/.387 with 12 steals, 17 doubles, seven home runs and 42 RBI in 342 plate appearances.
