Returns to Colorado The Rockies reinstated Doyle (groin) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Impact Doyle, who has been out since May 21 with a left oblique contusion and a further extended absence due to a groin injury, will re-join the big-league club Friday. Prior to being sidelined, the 28-year-old batted .207/.279/.270 with one home run, four RBI and nine stolen bases in 122 plate appearances. Colorado optioned Braxton Fulford to Albuquerque to clear space for Doyle on the 26-man roster.

Impact Doyle has been sidelined since late May, first due to an oblique strain but more recently because of a strained groin. However, he has gone 10-for-21 with a home run since resuming his rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque last week, clearing the way for his return. Doyle was not being used as an everyday player when he got hurt, and it might take the Rockies trading another outfielder to alter his playing time outlook.

Impact Doyle landed on the 10-day injured list in late May with an oblique strain, but it's been a left groin strain that's kept him out of action for the last two-plus weeks. The outfielder had logged six rehab contests before his rehab assignment was paused, so he might not need many more before being activated, assuming he can avoid another setback.

Pulled off rehab assignment The Rockies returned Doyle (oblique) from his rehab assignment Sunday, but he remains on the 10-day injured list.

Impact Placed on the IL on May 21 due to a left oblique contusion, Doyle made enough progress in his recovery to resume playing in games for Triple-A Albuquerque on June 23. He went 7-for-22 with one home run and one stolen base over six contests, but he tweaked his left groin last weekend and then aggravated the injury again Saturday. Now back in Denver, Boyle is scheduled to undergo further evaluation from the Rockies' medical staff before deciding on a treatment plan. Boyle will likely remain on the shelf through at least the All-Star break.
