Christian Arroyo - Two extra base hits in loss Arroyo went 2-for-5 with one double, one homer, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 extra-innings loss against Atlanta.

Impact Arroyo was one of the bright spots for Boston on Tuesday as he showed off his power with a two-run home run off of Charlie Morton in the second inning and a double off of Morton in the fourth. He has now hit safely in eight of nine games since returning from the IL, improving his slash to .273/.321/.433 in the process. While the hot streak may seem like a fluke, Arroyo has been underperforming almost all season with his xBA of .278 and xSLG of .450, so this could just be positive regression for the infielder.

Impact Familia was released by the Phillies on Saturday, and it did not take him long to find a new home. Impact The team isn't yet providing a timeline for Story's return from the 10-day injured list, but his ability to start swinging again is the first sign of progress for the second baseman since he was diagnosed in late July with a hairline fracture of his right wrist. Until Story returns from the wrist injury, Christian Arroyo will serve as the Red Sox's primary option at the keystone.

Impact Cora didn't specify which affiliate Hernandez will be joining, but because he's been sidelined since June 7 with a strained right hip flexor, he'll most likely stay on the rehab assignment through the weekend as he looks to regain his timing at the plate. Hernandez previously made a rehab appearance July 8, only to be pulled off the assignment at Triple-A Worcester after experiencing a setback. He appears to have responded well to the platelet-rich plasma injection he received shortly before the All-Star break. Once he's activated, Hernandez will likely supplant Jarren Duran as the Red Sox's everyday center fielder.
