INJURIES

Back in Toledo The Tigers optioned Horn to Triple-A Toledo on Friday.
Impact Horn has given up just one run in 5.1 innings since joining the big-league squad Sept. 2, lowering his ERA in the majors to 1.59 through 11.1 frames. Despite his strong performance, he'll be pushed back to the minor leagues by Kyle Finnegan (groin), who returned from the injured list Friday.
SEPTEMBER 19 • ROTOWIRE
Rejoins team The Tigers reinstated Horn from the paternity list Thursday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Impact Horn will reclaim a middle-relief role in the Tigers' bullpen after spending two days away from the team celebrating the birth of his child. Drew Sommers was sent back to Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.
SEPTEMBER 11 • ROTOWIRE
Placed on paternity list The Tigers placed Horn on the paternity list Tuesday.
Impact Horn will be allowed to miss up to three games while he welcomes a new addition to his family. Drew Sommers was recalled from Triple-A Toledo to fill the opening in Detroit's bullpen.
SEPTEMBER 9 • ROTOWIRE
Takes first loss Horn (0-1) allowed a run in an inning of relief to take the loss Friday against the White Sox.
Impact Horn allowed a run for just the second time in seven MLB appearances this season, which saddled him with his first loss as well. The 27-year-old lefty has spent most of the year with Triple-A Toledo, and while he's generally pitched well when given a chance by the Tigers, he doesn't have a particularly fantasy-friendly role at the moment.

Recalled to Detroit The Tigers recalled Horn from Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.

SEPTEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
Dispatched to Triple-A The Tigers optioned Horn to Triple-A Toledo on Monday.
Impact Horn will cede his spot on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen to right-hander Alex Lange (lat), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list. After being called up from Triple-A on Thursday, Horn made a pair of appearances during his time with Detroit, striking out three over 3.1 scoreless innings.

Tosses scoreless inning Friday Horn worked around two walks to toss a scoreless inning of relief in Friday's 7-0 win over the Twins.
Impact Horn was tasked with working the ninth inning, but with the Tigers up 7-0, it wasn't really a high-leverage spot. It was the lefty's first appearance in the majors since July 6. Horn has spent most of the season with Triple-A Toledo, where he's posted a 3.06 ERA and 44 strikeouts across 35.1 innings. He should work in a middle-relief role for Detroit for however long he sticks around, giving the team another left-handed bullpen option behind Tyler Holton and Brant Hurter.

Recalled from Triple-A The Tigers recalled Horn from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact Since his last MLB appearance July 6, Horn has allowed three runs (one earned) over 10 innings while striking out 12 batters and walking three. He'll now be called upon to provide Detroit with a fresh bullpen arm to replace Sawyer Gipson-Long, who was optioned to Toledo in a corresponding move. Horn will presumably pitch in middle relief while with the Tigers.
AUGUST 14 • ROTOWIRE
Detroit Tigers recall Keider Montero, reassign Bailey Horn to Toledo Keider Montero has been on the move for much of the season; since March 22, the 25-year-old has been recalled and optioned five times.

JULY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Sticking with Tigers Horn will remain in the Tigers' bullpen after serving as the team's 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader.
Impact Horn wasn't used in either game of Wednesday's twin bill versus Washington, so the Tigers will gain a fresh bullpen arm by keeping him on the active roster. Tyler Owens will head down to Toledo instead in order to create roster space for Horn.

Returns from IL Horn (elbow) struck out a batter and worked around two walks in a scoreless inning of relief Wednesday for Triple-A Toledo after being reinstated from the 7-day injured list.
Impact Horn missed just under a month of action for the Triple-A club while he recovered from left elbow inflammation. The 27-year-old southpaw holds a spot on the Tigers' 40-man roster and previously made one relief appearance for the big club in April, but he'll likely stick around in Toledo for the foreseeable future.

Recalled from Toledo The Tigers recalled Horn from Triple-A Toledo on Saturday.
Impact With John Brebbia (triceps) headed for the injured list, the Tigers will call upon Horn to help replenish the team's bullpen depth. The 27-year-old southpaw logged a 6.50 ERA in 18 innings with the Red Sox last season, and he's off to a similar start through 8.1 frames this year in Triple-A (6.48 ERA, 2.47 WHIP). He'll likely be limited to low-leverage situations while in Detroit.

Impact Horn was designated for assignment by St. Louis on Thursday, and he didn't have to wait long to join another team's 40-man roster. The 27-year-old lefty turned in a 6.50 ERA and 1.78 WHIP in 18 innings with the Red Sox last season, and his struggles have continued into the spring with four runs allowed on three hits and five walks in just 2.1 frames. He'll immediately head to Triple-A upon joining his new organization.
