Impact Senzatela found a groove as a reliever this season, posting a 3.61 ERA and 46:17 K:BB over 52.1 innings. The veteran right-hander has a 7.45 ERA since the beginning of June, but a 20:8 K:BB over 19.1 innings suggests he had some bad luck. After a dominant start to the campaign that saw him give up just four earned runs over his first 32 innings, the veteran right-hander has posted a 5.56 ERA while blowing all four of his save chances in his past nine outings, though he's also picked up four wins during that span. Jimmy Herget, who secured a save Wednesday versus Boston, took the loss after giving up the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th, so Senzatela should remain in the closer mix for now.

Picks up win in relief Senzatela (7-0) earned the win Friday against the Pirates after tossing a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one.

Impact Senzatela continues to have an outstanding season out of the Rockies' bullpen and has lowered his ERA to 2.23 with this scoreless outing. Backs into win Wednesday Senzatela (6-0) allowed a run on two hits and struck out one over one inning, earning the win after taking a blown save versus the Cubs on Wednesday.

Impact All three of Senzatela's blown saves have come over his last four appearances, a span in which he's allowed five runs (four earned) in 5.1 innings. The right-hander's move to the bullpen has still largely been successful, but the cracks are starting to show with his recent outings. He's at a 2.11 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 32:11 K:BB through 38.1 innings over 20 appearances, all in relief. Senzatela has a .245 BABIP, suggesting there's a fair amount of luck fueling his surface stats, though his 7.5 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 are both improvements on his marks from last year. He is set to continue competing for closing duties in the absence of Victor Vodnik (elbow).
