INJURIES

Up from Reno The Diamondbacks recalled Hoffmann from Triple-A Reno on Friday.
Impact Hoffmann hasn't pitched in the minors since Sept. 4 due to complications with his elbow, but he is evidently feeling well enough to help the Diamondbacks' bullpen during the final series of the regular season. The 25-year-old carries a 6.55 ERA and 2.00 WHIP through 11 innings in the majors this year and likely won't pitch outside of low-leverage situations while with Arizona.

Impact Hoffmann recorded only one out in Thursday's game and allowed five runs on four hits and one walk. He'll return to Arizona to undergo imaging on his right elbow to determine the severity of the injury. Hoffmann has spent most of the 2025 season in Triple-A but has appeared in 10 major-league games (seven for Arizona, three for Kansas City), posting a 6.55 ERA and 2.00 WHIP across 11 innings.

Dealing with fatigue Hoffmann hasn't pitched since being optioned to Triple-A Reno, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Impact Hoffmann has been dealing with fatigue and therefore hasn't made an appearance with Reno quite yet. His break from action has been a concerted effort by the organization, and he is expected to return to the mound in the near future. Hoffmann has posted a 6.55 ERA and 2.00 WHIP over 11 innings in 10 appearances with the Royals and Diamondbacks this season.
