Outrighted to Toledo Granillo cleared waivers Tuesday and was outrighted to Triple-A Toledo, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Impact Granillo was DFA'd by the Tigers on Friday to make room on the 40-man roster for Max Clark, but the former will officially remain in the organization after passing through waivers. Granillo has given up 10 earned runs in 9.1 big-league innings this season and hasn't found much success in the minors either, logging a 6.88 ERA and 1.61 WHIP across 35.1 Triple-A frames. Barring a drastic turnaround, he isn't likely to contribute for the big club this year.

DFA'd by Detroit The Tigers designated Granillo for assignment Friday.
Impact By designating Granillo for assignment and placing Matt Vierling (groin) on the 10-day injured list, the Tigers opened up the necessary spots on the 26- and 40-man rosters for 21-year-old outfielder Max Clark, who will make his major-league debut Friday against the Athletics. Granillo was claimed off waivers by the Tigers on July 11 and allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two across 3.2 innings with Toledo.

Claimed by Tigers, sent to Triple-A The Tigers claimed Granillo off waivers from the Nationals on Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A Toledo.
Impact The 26-year-old was pushed off Washington's 40-man roster last Saturday to make room for Matt Krook, but Granillo will reclaim a 40-man spot now that he's joined the Tigers organization. He's turned in an ugly 8.02 ERA and 1.66 WHIP through 33.2 innings at Triple-A this season, so he will likely have to turn things around at Toledo before getting a chance in the Tigers' bullpen.
JULY 11 • ROTOWIRE
Cast off 40-man roster The Nationals designated Granillo for assignment Saturday.
Impact Granillo has failed to impress over eight appearances with Washington this season, posting a 9.64 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and 3:8 K:BB over 9.1 innings. He hasn't fared much better with Triple-A Rochester, registering an 8.02 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 32:16 K:BB across 33.2 frames spanning 26 appearances. Granillo will consequently yield his 40-man roster spot to Matt Krook, whom the Nationals claimed off waivers on Saturday.

MAY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Rejoins big club The Nationals recalled Granillo from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday.
Impact The right-hander opened the campaign in Washington's bullpen but was demoted in early April after giving up six earned runs in his first five outings of the season. Impact St. Louis optioned Granillo to Triple-A on Monday, but he didn't make an appearance for Memphis before he was called back to the big club to join the bullpen as a replacement for John King (back), who landed on the injured list.
