Impact Gerard ranked third among the field in driving distance and sixth in putts per GIR en route to 22 total birdies and an eagle across 72 holes at Yokohama Country Club. However, he also tallied three double bogeys in Japan, and he finished just 52nd in putting percentage from 4-8 feet. Nonetheless, it's Gerard's fifth top-5 result on the PGA Tour this year.

Third place at TOUR Championship Gerard finished in solo third place at the TOUR Championship after shooting a two-over 72 in the final round.

Impact Gerard had played fantastic all week, but his swing just looked a little out of sorts on Sunday. It started on the first hole when he hit his approach way right which ultimately led to a double-bogey. From that point Gerard was on the chase the rest of the way and just couldn't get enough putts to fall. His 12-under-par total was one clear of a big pack at 11-under to secure solo third. Despite the frustration of not being able to win a FedExCup title, Gerard made a big statement that he deserves to be on the U.S. Presidents Cup team next month. The 27-year-old will learn his fate on Tuesday when Captain Brandt Snedeker makes his six picks. Gerard had a great season and seems capable of taking that next step as a consistent winner for years to come on the PGA Tour.
