Third place at TOUR Championship Gerard finished in solo third place at the TOUR Championship after shooting a two-over 72 in the final round.

Impact Gerard had played fantastic all week, but his swing just looked a little out of sorts on Sunday. It started on the first hole when he hit his approach way right which ultimately led to a double-bogey. From that point Gerard was on the chase the rest of the way and just couldn't get enough putts to fall. His 12-under-par total was one clear of a big pack at 11-under to secure solo third. Despite the frustration of not being able to win a FedExCup title, Gerard made a big statement that he deserves to be on the U.S. Presidents Cup team next month. The 27-year-old will learn his fate on Tuesday when Captain Brandt Snedeker makes his six picks. Gerard had a great season and seems capable of taking that next step as a consistent winner for years to come on the PGA Tour.

Impact Gerard hit only 40 of 72 greens in regulation while losing 1.22 strokes on approach throughout his week at TPC Southwind, but he still managed to convert 15 birdie chances and he ranked 10th among the field in SG: Around-the-Green. At 17th in the FedExCup standings, Gerard will make his second career BMW Championship appearance this week at Bellerive Country Club.

MC by one stroke at Wyndham Gerard posted a two-under cumulative score at the Wyndham Championship and missed the cut by one stroke.

Impact Gerard opened the tournament with a three-under 67 first round but was not as good Friday, ending the day with a one-over 71 with five bogeys and four birdies. He was fine off the tee, gaining 2.77 strokes in that category while connecting on 20 of 28 fairways, but he lost 1.99 strokes around the green and lost another 1.38 strokes with his putter. It was only the fourth missed cut of the season for Gerard, with his last MC taking place at the U.S. Open in mid-June. He entered the week 16th in the FedExCup Standings and will tee off next week at the St. Jude Championship, the first of three playoff tournaments.

Impact Gerard opened the tournament with a bogey-free, seven-under 63 first round but gained only five more strokes over the next three days, ending with a three-under 67 final round. He gained 7.21 strokes on the green, which was fifth-best in the field at Detroit Golf Club. He also ranked T10 in birdies and in the top-30 in scrambling and SG: Around, though he was below average in driving accuracy and in SG: Off-the-Tee and Approach.
