Max Homa, Tony Finau lead notables to miss cut at 3M Open - PGA TOUR Max Homa's strong run of play was stifled at the 3M Open as he missed only his second cut since the Masters.
5 DAYS AGO • PGATOUR.COM
MC at 3M Open Homa posted a four-over cumulative score at the 3M Open to miss the cut by seven strokes.
Impact Homa opened the tournament with a one-over 72 score Thursday, and his hopes of a late surge to make the cut Friday were snuffed out by a double bogey on the par-4 11th hole. He lost strokes across all major categories, nearly half of which came from his irons (minus-3.06 strokes in SG: Approach), and he also connected on only 15 of 28 fairways (53.6 percent). It's the fifth missed cut in 19 tournaments this season for Homa, with his last MC taking place at the PGA Championship in mid-May. He's not in the field for next week's Rocket Classic, so the Wyndham Championship in two weeks will be his last chance to play in a tournament before the start of the FedExCup Playoffs. Homa currently sits 49th in the FedExCup Standings, largely due to his T9 at The Masters and runner-up finish at the John Deere Classic.

Runner-up at John Deere Classic Homa carded a seven-under 64 in the final round of the John Deere Classic to finish as the runner-up and one stroke back of winner Chris Gotterup.
Impact TPC Deere Run is considered a chaser's course, and Homa displayed why that is the case Sunday. He caught on fire on the back nine of the final round, carding four-straight birdies from holes 12 to 15 before adding another on the 17th to end the tournament with a 19-under cumulative score. It wasn't quite enough for him to keep up with Gotterup and Ben Kohles, but Homa still came away with his best finish of the season and just his second top-10 of 2026 (T9 at The Masters). Homa's performance Sunday was driven by his short game, leading the field in SG: Around-the-Green in the final round. For the tournament, he finished second in both SG: Around and birdies, T15 in GIR and in the top-25 in SG: Off-the-Tee, Approach and Putting. Homa is listed in the field for the ISCO Championship next week, which will be his debut at the event.

Unable to advance to U.S. Open Homa did not qualify for the U.S. Open after falling short in an eight for three playoff at Final Qualifying in Canada on Monday.
Impact The Canada site featured a stacked qualifier as you would expect with the PGA Tour event there later this week. It was a large playoff with eight players finishing at six-under-par between a bunch of PGA Tour veterans. Homa was eliminated with bogey on the first playoff hole and did not even get one of the two alternate spots. He will look to put it behind him and play some quality golf at the RBC Canadian Open this week. Homa has made the cut in five of his last six starts, including a T9 back at The Masters.

Strong start, finish at CSC Homa posted a five-under cumulative score at the Charles Schwab Challenge to finish in a six-way tie for 22nd.
Impact Homa opened the tournament with a bogey-free, four-under 66 before following that up with back-to-back one-over 71s. He managed to climb 22 spots up the leaderboard Sunday with a three-under 67 for his best finish since his T9 at The Masters in mid-April. Homa ended the event ninth in SG: Putting, 15th in both bogeys and driving distance and T21 in SG: Off-the-Tee, though he lost nearly two strokes with his play around the green (67th). He will not tee off at the Memorial Tournament this week but will make his next appearance north of the border at the RBC Canadian Open.

First in eagles made at Doral Homa carded a two-under 70 in the final round of the Cadillac Championship Sunday to finish four-under and tied 38th.
Impact Homa got off to a good start in round one as he collected four birdies, 13 pars, and one dreadful double bogey to start his tournament play at two-under and inside the top 20 going into round two. However Homa failed to continue racking up the birdies in rounds two and three as he totaled just as many birdies in those rounds than he did in round one. While he finished his week outside the top 30 after another two-under par 70 on Sunday, Homa was able to take some positives away from this week, which included his driving. For the week, Homa ranked 11th in the field in SG: Off the Tee, gaining just over 2.5 strokes on the field when teeing off. In addition, Homa was able to score on a difficult course as he collected the most eagles for the week, with three as well as 11 birdies. Homa will look to carry his play off the tee over to next weeks Truist Championship in Charlotte.
