Hearbreaking MC at Wyndham Meissner missed the cut at the Wyndham Championship by one stroke following an even-par 70 second round.

Impact The cut line was eventually set at three-under during Friday's round, and Meissner would have easily made it to the weekend had it not been for a disastrous double bogey on the par-4 18th. The timing couldn't have been worse for the American, who entered the week 71st in the FedExCup Standings with only the top-70 making the playoffs. Assuming he is in fact eliminated from playoff contention, the next time Meissner can tee off at a PGA Tour event will be Sept. 17 at the Biltmore Championship.

Most of his success came on the green, finishing the JDC second in SG: Putting (8.41 strokes) while finishing first in putts per GIR and third in feet of putts made. Share of third at Charles Schwab Meissner recorded an 11-under cumulative score at the Charles Schwab Challenge to finish tied with Ben Griffin and Alex Smalley for third.

Impact Meissner posted scores of 66-67-67 over the first three days of the tournament and entered Sunday just two strokes back of 54-hole leader Eric Cole. Meissner opened the final round with a birdie on the first hole before dropping a shot with a bogey on the third. He proceeded to card 12-straight pars, but that was a positive result given how the field struggled to gain ground during the final round. His birdie on the par-3 16th brought him to within one shot of Cole and eventual winner Russell Henley, but Meissner was unable to join that duo in a playoff after back-to-back pars over his last two holes. It was the best finish of the season for Meissner, who ended the tournament fifth in scrambling, sixth in SG: Around-the-Green, T7 in birdies and 14th in both SG: Approach and Putting. His play off the tee held him back, however, as he connected on just 30 of 56 fairways (T62) and lost 0.39 strokes off the tee (54th). Thanks to his performance at Colonial Country Club, Meissner jumped to fourth in the Aon Swing 5, earning him a spot in the Memorial Tournament next week, which is the penultimate Signature Event of the 2026 season.

He's now placed T31 or better in five consecutive starts dating back to the Texas Children's Houston Open, improving to 93rd in the FedExCup standings. Runner-up in Greensboro Meissner finished in solo second place at the Wyndham Championship after shooting a four-under 66 in the final round.

Impact Meissner was the best of the rest as Cameron Young was pretty much untouchable this weekend. He gained strokes across the board and ranked top-10 in SG: Putting, GIR's and scrambling. Meissner showed a lot of promise last season, but 2025 hasn't been his year. This solo second and the 300 points that go with it still only moved him up to 86th in the FedExCup standings. He will miss the playoffs, but it at least gives him some momentum and puts him in a good spot to keep his card this fall.
