MC after poor end to Friday's round Roy logged a two-over 73 in the final round of the John Deere Classic and missed the cut by the three strokes.
Impact Roy opened the tournament with a two-under 69 score Thursday. He held a three-under cumulative score through 13 holes in the second round and was right on the cut line, but he failed to qualify for the weekend after carding bogeys on three of his last five holes. Roy connected on 11 of 14 fairways in the second round but was let down by his putter, losing a whopping 2.49 strokes in that category while losing a further 1.27 strokes around the green. He's finished T71 or worse in each of his last five tournament with three missed cuts, including the U.S. Open. Roy will look to bounce back next week at the Genesis Scottish Open, which will be his debut at the event.

Impact Roy shot two great rounds to easily qualify for the U.S. Open. He was a full seven shots clear of the cutline to make it coming out of Purchase, NY. He will tee it up next week in the U.S. Open and make his major championship debut. Roy is also slated to play this week at the RBC Canadian Open. He sits 86th in the FedExCup standings.

Impact Roy had another great driving week gaining nearly four strokes to the field off the tee, which was the third-best mark in the field. Roy was also T4 in GIR's hit and T10 in scrambling. While it was a good overall showing, Roy has been bumped out of the Aon Swing 5 by a couple other players and is now sitting as the fourth alternate for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He could instead play the Puerto Rico Open next week are just rest up for THE PLAYERS Championship.

Climbs leaderboard Sunday Roy jumped into a share of 28th place after firing a seven-under 64 in the final round of the 3M Open.
Impact Roy's closing round was highlighted by birdies on three of the final four holes as he tied for the low round of the day to climb 38 spots on the leaderboard. He led the field Sunday by gaining over five strokes on the greens and ranked fourth in SG: Putting for the tournament. Roy will need to climb six spots in the FedExCup Standings at next week's Wyndham Championship in order to make the playoffs.

Impact After initially setting the course record Thursday with a 10-under 62 (which was bested by Jake Knapp's 61 on Friday), Roy cooled off until Sunday with six birdies to climb back into the top-10. He stood out by ranking third in SG: Approach for the week and only carded four bogeys across 72 holes. It's Roy's second top-10 of the year and his second straight top-20.
