Top-15 finish in Houston Mitchell posted a 10-under cumulative score at the Texas Children's Houston Open to finish in a five-way tie for 14th.

Impact Mitchell saved his best round of the tournament for last with a bogey-free, five-under 65 score that included three birdies from holes eight to 12. His success at Memorial Park came largely off the tee, as he finished second in SG: Off-the-Tee, T3 in driving accuracy and 13th in driving distance. Mitchell also ranked T11 and 15th in GIR and SG: Approach, respectively, though he struggled with his short game and performance on the green (44th and 69th in SG: Putting and Around-the-Green, respectively). It was Mitchell's third top-15 finish of the 2026 season, and he has made the cut in all nine of his PGA Tour outings this year. He'll tee off next week at the Valero Texas Open, where he's made the cut in all four of his prior outings and finished T14 in 2024 and T12 in 2025.

Impact Mitchell withdrew prior to last week's Valspar Championship after tying for 46th at TPC Sawgrass, but he's expected to tee it up this week at Memorial Park where he placed T18-MC-T9 in his three most recent Houston Open appearances.

Impact 2026 has been an inconsistent year for Mitchell, and he will not get an immediate chance to patch up his form, as an undisclosed problem has taken him out for Valspar. In his place is Doug Ghim.

Impact It was an inconsistent tournament for Mitchell, who followed up his three-under 69 opening round with a four-over 76 score in the second, barely making the cut by one stroke. He was five-under through the first 10 holes of the final round and in contention for a top-20 finish, only to card three bogeys and a birdie over the last eight holes. Mitchell ranked fourth in the field in SG: Approach, T8 in GIR and 12th in SG: Off-the-Tee, but he lost 4.27 strokes with his putter (46th) and 2.60 strokes around the green (47th). He's had an up-and-down start to the 2026 Tour season with four finishes of T33 or worse and two top-12 performances while making the cut in all six of his outings. Mitchell is in the field for THE PLAYERS Championship next week, where he's made the cut in six of eight outings but failed to do so in 2025.

Another strong outing at Cognizant Mitchell recorded an 11-under cumulative score at the Cognizant Classic to finish tied with Nicolai Hojgaard and William Mouw for sixth.

Impact Mitchell has enjoyed previous success at PGA National, having won the Cognizant in 2020 before finishing T9 in 2022 and 2024. His affinity for the course was on full display again, and he made his biggest move Saturday with a bogey-free, seven-under 64 that included three-straight birdies from holes 18 to two. He could have snuck into the top-5 had he not found the water on the par-4 16th that resulted in a double bogey. Mitchell ranked fourth in the field in driving distance, T5 in birdies made and in the top-25 in GIR, SG: Approach-to-Green, SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Putting. Mitchell is in the field for the Arnold Palmer Invitational next week, where he's made the cut in each of his five outings (including T24 in his last appearance in 2023).

T52 at Pebble Beach Mitchell fired a four-under 68 on Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish eight-under and tied for 52nd.

Impact Mitchell ranked 11th among the field in SG: T2G during Sunday's final round at Pebble Beach, though he fell to 74th in SG: Putting for the week as he continues to struggle on poa annua greens. He also lost strokes off the tee for the first time in a measured event since last July's 3M Open. Although he's a perfect 5-for-5 in cuts made to begin his 2026 campaign, Mitchell resides just 125th in the OWGR, and he won't be in the field for The Genesis Invitational.

Impact Mitchell was five-under through 15 holes and would have finished in the top-10 had it not been for his back-to-back bogeys on holes 16 and 17. He finished fourth in the field in SG: Approach to Green and in the top-20 in SG: Off the Tee, SG: Around the green, driving distance, GIR and birdies made, though he was ranked at the bottom in SG: Putting. Mitchell has made the cut in each of his first three outings on the Tour in 2026, and his finish at Torrey Pines was his best since the Baycurrent Classic in October (T10). He is in the field for the WM Phoenix Open next week.

Impact Mitchell racked up eight-final round birdies at Yokohama Country Club, gaining 4.73 strokes with the flat stick and another 3.09 strokes off the tee Sunday.
