Cracks top-20 in Houston Vilips posted a three-under 67 in the final round of the Texas Children's Houston Open to finish tied for 19th with Max McGreevy.

Impact Vilips was knocking on the door to a top-10 finish after going five-under through 12 holes in the final round. Those aspirations quickly faded after back-to-back bogeys on holes 16 and 17, but he still did enough to finish in the top-20 for the first time since The American Express in January (T18). Vilips finished the tournament with the second-best SG: Approach while ranking T4 in GIR and T9 in birdies made, but he was near the bottom in SG: Around-the-Green, scrambling and driving accuracy. He's in the field for the Valero Texas Open next week, which will be his first appearance at TPC San Antonio.

T18 at The American Express Vilips carded a five-under 67 during the final round of The American Express to finish tied for 18th.

Impact Vilips went five-under through the front nine of the final round, though he wasn't able to gain more ground during the back nine. He finished in the top-20 in the field in SG: Approach to Green, driving accuracy and GIR, and his top-20 finish at La Quinta was his best outing at a Tour event since the Charles Schwab Challenge in May of 2025 (T11). Vilips will enter next week's Farmers Insurance Open in 137th in the OWGR.

5th in SG: Around the Green Vilips carded a three-under 67 Sunday in the final round of the Wyndham Championship to finish in a tie for 19th.

Impact Vilips came into Greensboro with five straight missed cuts under his belt, so a top-20 finish was not something people were expecting from him. However Vilips clearly found his form on the greens this week as he ranked fifth in SG: Around the Green for the week and 15th in SG: Putting for the week. Combining both strokes gained putting and strokes gained around the green he gained close to nine strokes on the field this week. While his form on and around the greens were impressive, his form off the tee was not. For the week Vilips lost close to four strokes on the field, which really put himself in the poor spots, preventing him from being able to score. Still based on his current form, this is something Vilips can build on for his next tournament.
