Impact Poston has enjoyed previous outings at TPC Deere Run, having won the event in 2022 before following that up with a T6 in 2023, but he didn't. He couldn't replicate that success this time around, and he's now finished outside the top-50 in six of nine appearances at the John Deere Classic. Poston's 22 birdies were tied for fifth most in the field and he also ranked T8 in driving accuracy and ninth in SG: Off-the-Tee. However, he ranked 69th in both SG: Approach and Around -- losing 3.65 strokes across those two categories -- and finished T61 in bogeys and 75th in scrambling. Poston will take a week's break before teeing off at The Open Championship in two weeks, which he earned a spot in thanks to his playoff victory over Ryan Gerard at the Memorial Tournament. Poston has been in the field for The Open in each of the last four years, but his T41 at Royal Liverpool in 2023 is the only time he's made the cut at golf's oldest major.
