Impact Keefer entered the week 74th in the FedExCup Standings and on the outside looking into a spot in the playoffs next week. He opened the tournament with a two-under 68 first round but struggled during Friday's round, ending the day with three bogeys, two birdies and 13 pars. His putter let him down during the second round, as he lost 1.75 strokes on the green while connecting on only seven of 14 fairways, leading to a further 1.12 strokes lost around the green. Keefer will end the regular season having made the cut in 15 of 24 tournaments with two top-3 finishes (Houston Open and Scottish Open), though he finished T59 or worse with two MC's in each of his last four outings. Since he won't be in the top-70 of the Standings for a spot in the playoffs, the next time Keefer could be at a PGA Tour event would be the Biltmore Championship Asheville that tees off Thursday, Sept. 17.
