Impact Kang opened the tournament nicely with a four-under 67 first round but saw his score steadily get worse over the next three days, culminating in a two-over 73 final round in which he carded four bogeys and two birdies on the back nine. Out of the 66 players who made the cut at TPC Twin Cities, Kang finished outside the top-50 in SG: Putting and Approach, driving distance, GIR and birdies. It was just the seventh time in 17 tournaments that he made the cut, though he has not finished inside the top-30 outside of his T6 with Doug Ghim at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in April. Kang is in the field for next week's Rocket Classic, which will be his first appearance at Detroit Golf Club.
