Impact Suber opened the tournament with a bogey-free, three-under 68 and was on track to make the cut line that hovered between two- and three-under Friday. However, his second round was sunk by a triple bogey on the par-4 15th hole, and his day ended with three bogeys over his last seven holes. Suber had the second-best SG: Off-the-Tee in the first round but ranked 143rd in that category in the second round, losing 5.06 strokes while connecting on only six of 14 fairways (42.9 percent). It was the seventh time he's missed a cut in 17 tournaments this season and a bit of a letdown considering he was coming off a T28 at The Open Championship and a T6 at the John Deere Classic in early July. Suber will tee off next week at the Rocket Classic, where he finished T6 in his debut at the event last year. The Rocket Classic is the penultimate regular-season tournament on the PGA Tour schedule, and sitting 79th in the FedExCup Standings, Suber will look to make one last push into the top-70 for a spot in the playoffs.
