Wins Bahrain Championship
Schott outlasted Calum Hill and Patrick Reed in a two-hole playoff to capture the DP Tour Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship on Sunday.
Impact
Schott entered Sunday two shots back of Hill at the top of the leaderboard, and the former managed to force a three-man playoff after carding a three-under 69 score in the final round. Schott and Hill needed a second playoff hole after Reed bogeyed the first, but Hill found the water on his second shot and conceded to Schott without finishing the hole. It was Schott's first victory on the DP Tour in 91 attempts, and his win in Bahrain moved him up 94 spots to ninth in the Race to Dubai rankings with 638.20 points. He is in the field for the Qatar Masters next week.
