Withdraws from Valero Texas Open
Pan has withdrawn from the Valero Texas Open, according to PGA Tour Communications.
Impact
It is unclear why Pan withdrew from the Valero Texas Open, but his withdrawal comes without any late-notice replacements or further transactions. He was looking to begin his April on a high note after two of his three March tournaments saw him score at least one over par.

T68 at Mexico Open at VidantaWorld
Pan carded a one-under 70 on Sunday at the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld to finish two-under and tied for 68th.
Impact
Pan improves to 3-for-3 in cuts made to begin his 2025 campaign dating back to a T21 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, but he gained strokes with his irons for the first time this season in Mexico, ultimately ranking 26th among the field in SG: Approach at Vidanta Vallarta. However, he also posted one of the worst SG: Putting performances of his entire career, losing 5.7 strokes with the flat stick on the Paspalum greens while averaging a tournament-low 53 feet of putts made per round. Pan is listed in the field again this week for the Cognizant Classic where he's placed T28-T16-T3 in his last three trips to PGA National.

Leads in driving accuracy in Japan
Pan closed with a four-under 66 to finish in a tie for sixth place at the ZOZO Championship.
Impact
Pan is not a long driver by any means, but he did lead the field this week in driving accuracy, which also helped him rank fifth in SG: Approach. Pan was also sixth in scrambling at Narashino Country Club. The 32-year-old can be a frustrating player because he's failed to make the weekend in six of his last ten starts, but the other four were top-25 finishes, including now a pair of top-10s. Pan moves up to 94th in the FedExCup Fall standings and will likely make a couple more starts before the year is over.

Earns spot in Open Championship
Pan fired a seven-under 64 on Sunday at the John Deere Classic to finish 24-under and in a share of second place.
Impact
Pan had a four-shot deficit to make up to start the round, and he got off to a solid beginning with three birdies in the first five holes. However, he was unable to catch leader Davis Thompson, who shot a 64 and coasted to the win. Pan was led by his short game, gaining 8.8 shots around the green and putting combined for the week. The result earns Pan a spot in the Open Championship, set for July 18-21 at Royal Troon.

Pan carded a two-over 74 on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational to finish five-over and alone in 51st place.

He fell just outside the top-70 in the FedExCup standings with the 51st-place effort in Orlando, but he'll be in attendance again this week for his fifth career PLAYERS Championship appearance.
