Top-20 finish to start season Phillips notched a tie for 19th place at the Sony Open in Hawaii following a three-under 67 in the final round.

Impact Phillips didn't have the greatest ball-striking week, but the putter certainly kept him in it. Phillips ranked top-10 for the week in both SG: Putting and putts per GIR. That's actually an area of the game he had been very hit-or-miss on over his last 10 starts. Phillips will need the putter to remain strong if he is to challenge at The American Express next week.

Runner-up in Bermuda Phillips posted a final round even-par 71 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, finishing one shot behind champion Adam Schenk.

He struggled under the windy conditions on the back-nine, however, carding three bogeys and ultimately came up one short.
