Top 10 in season debut on PGA Tour Burgoon shot a four-under 66 in the final round of the Texas Children's Houston Open to finish in a share of 10th place.

Impact Burgoon was making his first start on the PGA Tour this season thanks to some withdraws earlier in the week. That said the 38-year-old had logged three straight top-20 finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour to begin his campaign over there. Burgoon certainly made the most of his opportunity and this T10 finish will secure him a spot in the field at next week's Valero Texas Open. He was second in the field in Houston in SG: Putting and was also top 5 in driving accuracy and scrambling.

Impact Burgoon withdrew from the Valspar Championship less than a week ago, but he is already available for the PGA's following tournament. The Texas Children's Houston Open is scheduled to be his first PGA tourney since The American Express, played back in January.

Impact Burgoon was the final man on the alternate list this week after Carson Young withdrew. Burgoon has declined the invite and the field for the Valspar Championship will be 155. Burgoon has been focusing on the KFT this season, but has not made a cut in his last 10 starts.
