British Open returns to Royal Birkdale and PGA Tour holds tournament in Dominican Republic

Strong final round on KFT Brown posted a seven-under 65 in the final round of The Blue Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour to finish T22.

He bounced back Sunday for his best round of the tournament, which included a seven-under stretch from holes four to 11 with five birdies and an eagle. Brown has special temporary membership on the PGA for the season, but he would earn a PGA Tour card for 2027 with a top-20 finish on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List, and he currently sits 12th. There's no Korn Ferry event next week, so Brown will tee off at the Corales Puntacana Championship.

Impact While Brown never got himself into contention at the Valspar Championship, there were a lot of positives that Brown can build upon. On one of the more difficult courses on tour, Brown booked ended his week with two rounds under par. He began his week posting a solid two-under par 69 in a round that saw him make four birdies with only two bogeys. Brown then ended his week with a one-under 70 where he again collected four more birdies. His good play was thanks to tremendous ball striking, especially in the final round where Brown ranked 4th in the field in SG: Approach. For the week, Brown gained just over four strokes on his fellow competitors ranking 10th in the field. Brown is quickly making a name for himself as one of the Tour's bright young stars who may quickly become one of the better ball strikers on tour. As Brown continues to collect more starts, his potential only grows.
