T19 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson
Ewart posted a five-under 66 in the final round of THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson to finish tied for 19th.
Impact
Ewart shot four-under or better in three of four rounds, with his one-under 70 on Saturday being his worst score of the tournament. The 27-year-old Canadian finished the event 11th in SG: Putting, T15 in birdies, 20th in SG: Around-the-Green and in the top-30 in GIR and driving distance. It was the fourth top-20 finish of the season for Ewart (in 13 tournaments) and his best outing since his T11 at the Valspar Championship in March. He'll tee off at the Charles Schwab Challenge next week, which will be his first appearance at Colonial Country Club.

Leaps to T11 over weekend
Ewart fired a four-under 67 in the final round of the Valspar Championship to finish tied with Jordan Spieth and Matthieu Pavon for 11th.
Impact
Ewart was able to make it to the weekend after going one-over par across the first two rounds of the tournament. He surged up the leaderboard after going seven-under over the final two days and finished the final round strongly by going four-under on the back nine (including three-straight birdies from holes 13 to 15). The 26-year-old Canadian ranked ninth in SG: Approach, 11th in SG: Putting and 22nd in SG: Around-the-Green, but he finished near the bottom of the field in both driving accuracy (T60) and SG: Off-the-Tee (70th). Ewart has two top-15 finishes over his last four PGA Tour outings and is in the field for next week's Texas Children's Houston Open for the first time in his career.

Second in SG: Putting at Cognizant
Ewart posted a nine-under cumulative score at the Cognizant Classic to finish in a four-way share of 13th.
Impact
Ewart entered the weekend with momentum after a seven-under 64 second round that included five consecutive birdies from holes 12 to 16 and three more from holes six to eight. He followed that up with a three-under 68 third round, but he wasn't able to crack the top-10 of the leaderboard after a one-over 72 score Sunday. Ewart gained 5.1 strokes with his putter (second-best in the field) and finished 18th and T21 in SG: Approach-to-Green and GIR, respectively, but he ranked near the bottom of the field in both SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Around-the-Green. Ewart has made the cut in each of his last four PGA Tour outings after failing to do so at the Sony Open, and his T13 at the Cognizant was his best finish of the season. He'll tee off at the Puerto Rico Open next week for the first time in his career.

T28 finish in the desert
Ewart carded a bogey free three-under 68 on Sunday at the WM Phoenix Open to finish tied for 28th place.
Impact
Ewart put together a nice showing out in the desert with three sub-70 rounds throughout his week thanks to terrific ball striking. He began his week gaining more than a shot and a half on the field in SG: Approach in round 1, which propelled Ewart to open with a solid two-under 69. While his ball striking wasn't as good in round 2, he still managed to fight his way through the round to shoot one shot better, a three-under 68. After a difficult third round that saw Ewart lose more than two shots to the field, Ewart closed his week with more terrific ball striking, this time ranking 9th in the field in the final round in SG: Approach. While his iron play was impressive this week, Ewart must improve on the greens if he looks to consistently contend this year.
