Svensson's week at Vidanta Vallarta was highlighted by a five-under 66 on Friday, when he holed 149 feet of putts while gaining 2.44 strokes with the flat stick en route to four birdies and an eagle in Round 2. The 31-year-old Canadian has now made the cut in back-to-back starts ahead of this week's Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches where he tied for ninth in 2022, when Svensson paced the field in SG: Tee-to-Green.

Svensson secured first-round leader honors by two shots after posting an 11-under 60 in Round 1 at the Black Desert Resort, racking up nine birdies and an eagle Thursday. The Canadian struggled on the greens throughout his final three rounds, however, ultimately ranking 49th among the field in SG: Putting and 63rd in feet of putts made by the end of the tournament. On a more positive note, Svensson gained six strokes with his irons and he dropped just one spot to No. 77 in the FedExCup Fall standings.
