Impact Rai has been sidelined since back-to-back missed cuts at THE PLAYERS and the Valspar Championship due to a neck injury, but he's hopeful to return this week at Augusta National for what would be his second career Masters appearance, tying for 27th in his debut here last year.

WD's with neck injury Rai (neck) has withdrawn prior to his first round tee time at the Texas Children's Houston Open, PGA Tour Communications reports.

Impact Rai's WD due to a neck injury means that Taylor Moore will take his spot in the field. Hopefully this is not a long term issue for the Englishman. Rai had missed the cut in his last two events. It's unclear if he will play in San Antonio next week before teeing it up at The Masters.

Back-to-back MCs in Florida Rai recorded a 36-hole score of three-over-par to miss the cut at last week's Valspar Championship by two shots.

Impact Rai hit just 12 total fairways in regulation throughout his two rounds at Innisbrook, and a disappointing 47.37 scrambling percentage led to nine bogeys and a double across 36 holes. The Englishman has now posted back-to-back missed cuts since his first top-25 of the season at the Cognizant Classic, dropping to 108th in the FedExCup standings. Rai will peg it again this week at the Texas Children's Houston Open where he notched a pair of T7s in 2022 and 2024.

Solid week at PGA National Rai carded an even par 71 in the final round of the Cognizant Classic at PGA National to finish tied for 23rd.

Impact When you think of Rai there is only one word that comes to mind, consistency. This week at PGA National, there weren't many other players more consistent in their scoring than Rai. He began his week with three straight sub-70 rounds with a 68-69-69. While Rai didn't score as well on Sunday than he did on the other three previous rounds, he still was steady and almost robotic off the tee and with his irons as he still hit 9 of 14 fairways and 13 of 18 greens in regulation. What doomed Rai on Sunday was his inability to make any putts, as he made only 55'8 feet of putts, ranking 55th among all players making the cut. Still on the week Rai ranked 11th in SG: Off the Tee, 33rd in SG: Approach, and 19th in SG: Around the Green, gaining more than one stroke on his fellow competitors.

Rough final round at Riviera Rai closed with a five-over 76 on Sunday at The Genesis Invitational to finish six-under and tied for 28th.

Impact Rai's five-over 76 was the field's worst final-round performance by two shots, and he ultimately ended the Signature Event ranked just 46th of 51 in SG: Off-the-Tee and 45th in scrambling. However, he tallied 18 total birdies and an eagle across 72 holes, finishing ninth in putting from 5-10 feet and T13 in FIR percentage. Rai plans to peg it again this week at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches where he placed MC-T66 in two prior PGA National appearances.

Career-worst SG: Putting at Pebble Rai closed with a two-under 70 on Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish one-over and tied for 73rd.

Impact Rai ranked top-10 among the Signature Event field in both FIR and GIR percentage, but he converted just eight of 17 scrambling opportunities while losing a career-worst 6.43 strokes with the putter as well. The Englishman also lost strokes from tee to green for the first time since a missed cut at last May's Memorial Tournament. Rai will be in attendance again this week for The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club where he tied for 29th in 2023.

Impact Rai withdrew from the tournament prior to the start of the first round for undisclosed reasons. The 30-year-old English golfer will be replaced by Frankie Capan III in the tournament field. As Rai is not listed in the field for the upcoming WM Phoenix Open, he will have to wait for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for his next shot.
