Joining Gamecocks Bellenfant has committed to play for South Carolina for the 2026 season, per Pete Nakos of On3.com.

Impact Bellenfant will join the Red Raiders following a single year with Texas Tech. The 6-foot-1 kicker converted all six of his field goal attempts while going 14-of-16 on extra point tries during the 2025 season. The former Buffalo transfer will retain a single year of eligibility with South Carolina.

Impact Texas Tech is a Power Conference team, so Bellenfant will be part of more high-stakes games during 2025. As for that year's TTU team, it will not include Gino Garcia. Reese Burkhardt may not use his redshirt for then, potentially robbing the Red Raiders of their placekickers from 2024. Bellenfant made 14 field goals and 29 extra points this year.
