Impact Starks got a look as FAU's starter over the final two games of the season and threw for 473 yards, six touchdowns and one interception. He was unable to beat out the quarterback competition with the Owls and hopes to get a starting opportunity with his new program.

Impact Starks made his second straight start Saturday and led the Owls to the team's first conference win of the season. He tossed five touchdown passes, including two over 75 yards in the second quarter. He also threw for nearly 300 yards and added 46 on the ground. It was easily the best performance an Owls quarterback had this season, something that could be considered when deciding on next season's starting quarterback.

Impact With Cam Fancher (collarbone) and Kasen Weisman (ankle) both out, Starks made his first FAU start Saturday. It did not go great for him as he completed just over 50 percent of his passes and lost a fumble which was returned for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. He also threw his first career touchdown pass, a 65-yard pass to Omari Hayes in the third quarter. If Weisman is forced to miss another week, Starks would be set to start Saturday's season finale at Tulsa.

Impact Starks is set to make his first collegiate start as FAU has opted to make a change at the quarterback spot. The 6-foot-2 redshirt junior has appeared in four games during his time with FAU, throwing for 112 yards (14-of-21), zero touchdowns and one interception, adding on 24 yards with his legs.

Impact Starks was forced into the game during the second half of Saturday's contest after Karen Weisman (ankle) suffered an injury. Starks did not light up the stat sheet, but with his team down 15-7 with less than two minutes in the game, Starks led a game-tying drive to send the contest into overtime. Weisman's injury is considered a high ankle sprain, so there's a decent chance that Starks will start Saturday's game versus Charlotte.

Starks' other year as a reserve resulted in limited opportunities, which he hopes is not the case during 2024.

Behind in QB battle Starks is currently behind Cam Fancher in Florida Atlantic's starting quarterback battle but not completely out of it, FAU Owls Nest reports.

Impact Starks threw just six attempts during the 2023 football season and could see a similar supplementary role if Fancher leads him through the season-opener. Starks still has a possibility of being the starter as he has been playing well according to head coach Tom Herman, but as of now he will assume the backup spot.
