Leaving Bears' program Gardner will enter the transfer portal, per Max Olson of The Athletic.

Impact Gardner was a standout freshman in Conference USA, reeling in 30 catches for 465 yards and six touchdowns. Now, he'll look for a bigger program, and likely a big paycheck, by way of the transfer portal. Gardner has three more seasons of eligibility remaining.

Impact The true freshman Garner has really impressed as of late. He has a three-game touchdown streak going into the regular-season finale for the Bears.

Impact The true freshman's production the last couple weeks is definitely interesting. Over his last two games Gardner has nine catches with a touchdown in each outing.

Impact This is Gardner's best game of the season, but it comes after a game wherein he had one catch for zero yards. This is a true freshman, though, so the fact he is contributing at all is notable. On the year he has 23 catches for 349 yards and three scores.
